May 24th: Favorite Minor Characters
–Minor characters are less than a sidekick or a side character (but not in our hearts!) Everyone will have a different definition of what makes a minor vs a side character but just as an example, I’d consider Ron and Hermione side characters, while Lavender Brown, Oliver Wood, and Dean Thomas are minor characters. Results may vary so don’t get tooooo caught up in it 🙂

1 – Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter

Luna is an undisputedly amazing character. Period. End of story. Its a shame we didn’t get more of her.

2 – Magnus Bane from Mortal Instruments

I just love Magnus okay? Does he even count as a minor character? He’s minor in The Infernal Devices – and he’s great there too so he counts. I love my warlock child. And his warlock child.

3 – Grover from Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Grover is a good best friend to Percy throughout the series. I will forever be mad that we didn’t see him and Percy interacting in Heroes of Olympus.

4 – Seth Clearwater from The Twilight Saga

I have had a weird love of Seth Clearwater since I read Twilight for the first time when I was nine. We literally see him once, and hear of him twice, so I have no idea what this stems from, it it is a thing none-the-less.

5 – Rue from The Hunger Games

Everyone loves Rue. We only had her for a few chapters before what is literally one of the most depressing scenes ever, but she is a beloved character.

  1. I have read 4/5 of these. I also love Luna (I can relate to her a little) Magnus (he’s fun!) Rue (😢) and I’m glad you included Grover! He’s so underrated, and I’m also still vexed he didn’t appear in Heroes of Olympus much. I like his and Percy’s friendship.
