So, this is my second post in my “Book Recs”…I guess you would call it feature? Or series? Regardless, this is the second one – the first being “Romance Focused Contemporaries”.
I hope you like this, and feel free to request a rec list for other genres as well, I like making these. If you want more contemporaries as well, I can always make a part 3…
Netgalley Review – Genius: The Game
Review: Because You’ll Never Meet Me
Let me know if you enjoy these little recommendation posts, I’ll do a sequel or any other genre you guys want!
I think that this type of post is a great idea, sometimes I want to read something that is focused on other things that aren’t romance and this list is a great help!.
I would love you to do more 😊

As someone who has had severe anxiety in the past, I can say that Kinsella’s book starts off okay but it ultimately let me down with it’s representation of how to “fix” mental health. I felt like the recovery process was too quick and having a boy in the middle of that is problematic. If she wanted to make it about her mental health leave out the romance, but that’s just my opinion.

Finding Audrey didn’t feel that way to me compared to some of her other books, but I don’t have much experience. Thanks for sharing your opinions!

Yes for The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks! So under-hyped.
Thank you for doing this post. I’d like to give more YA contemporaries a chance, but so many of the more popular books (many of them romances) don’t look so appealing to me so I’m excited to explore your recs!
