Movie Review: Deadpool 2

Image result for Deadpool 2

Wisecracking mercenary Deadpool meets Russell, an angry teenage mutant who lives at an orphanage. When Russell becomes the target of Cable — a genetically enhanced soldier from the future — Deadpool realizes that he’ll need some help saving the boy from such a superior enemy. He soon joins forces with Bedlam, Shatterstar, Domino and other powerful mutants to protect young Russell from Cable and his advanced weaponry.

Sequels aren’t generally as good as the first, but this sequel was SO GOOD.

It builds on directly after the first, and though the beginning (the whole Vanessa thing, you know what happened) pissed me off, it was overall a super good movie, making fun of the x-men (and raising some great points of how hypocritical they are) and general superhero tropes (building a team!). I LOVED Cable – him and Wade had some hilarious dialogue, though they don’t explain Cable’s character until way later than I would have liked.

But if you liked the first one, this one is SO worth watching. Its still rated R – but more for violence than the crassness of the first.
