I am currently trying to get my best friend to start one (she plans to as soon as school stops trying to kill us).

Starbucks, a venti ice caramel macchiato.

And a cinna-bon or churros.

Questions for Award

1. A book you started but never finished…but want to finish. What stopped you from continuing to read it?
2. What elements attract you to a book, which makes you need to read it?
3. Which books do you prefer, e-copy or hard copy?
4. What book are you currently reading or going to read next?
5. Is it fair to judge a book by its film?
6. What book did you badly judge by its cover and ended up loving?
7. Which book character have you felt the most kin with and able to relate with?

My Extra Question for You:

How many books do you own? Ebook, paperback, and/or hardcover?

Answers

A BOOK YOU STARTED BUT NEVER FINISHED…BUT WANT TO FINISH. WHAT STOPPED YOU FROM READING IT?

The Selection series by Kiera Cass. I STILL haven’t finished The One. I keep getting distracted by other books…

WHAT ELEMENTS ATTRACT YOU TO A BOOK, WHICH MAKES YOU READ IT?

I’m not really sure, it is sounds interesting, if it seems like it has tropes I like or something I haven’t seen much of I’ll usually give it a shot. I like realistic in science in books, or at least plausible sounding science.

WHICH BOOKS DO YOU PREFER E-COPY OR HARD COPY?

E-books are easier for me to read (and to sneak read in class), but I prefer to own hardcopies.

What book are you currently reading or going to read next?

At the time that I am writing this, I am reading Patient H.M. by Luke Dittrich. Its an arc from NetGalley, and its super interesting so far. Its a none fiction book about the man who is essentially the most famous neuroscience patient in history, as told by the grandson of the doctor who lobotomized him.

IS IT FAIR TO JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS FILM?

No, never really. End of discussion.

WHAT BOOK DID YOU JUDGE BADLY BY ITS COVER AND ENDED UP LOVING?

Pretty much every contemporary I’ve ever rated above 4 stars, which is more than I am willing to list right now.

WHICH BOOK CHARACTER HAVE YOU FELT THE MOST KIN WITH AND ABLE TO RELATE WITH?

Hermoine, and other bookish characters like her. Because in that situation, that is almost certainly how I would act.

Extra Question from Icebreaker: How do you pick a certain book to read? What goes through your head?

I’m not even sure, its mostly “this looks good, I’ll read this one now” and thats it…

50 Word Story: (But why are you making me do this????- FYI This is going to be terrible…)

In another life, she’d have been the golden child truly, not this one of tarnished bronze the universe looked at in the wrong lighting. In another life, she would have a steadier head on her shoulders, and wouldn’t have been some weird orphan. In another life, she wouldn’t destroy everything in her wake…

(This is an excerpt from Legacy of Stardust, because I couldn’t make a 50 word story for the life of me…)

Q&A

How many books have you read this summer/winter? (Depends on where you are)

I read astoundingly little. Maybe four or five books the entire summer, and two/three of them were for school. I’ve been on a reading slump…

Do you prefer books based on modern times or the past?

Modern times, I can’t stand most historical fiction, and I generally prefer urban fantasy to high fantasy.

Do you like food? What’s your favorite?

I have a very developed sweet tooth, and am quite partial to cuban desserts and sugar-ed coffees.

What is your favorite name for a character?

I’m going to take this as “for my own characters”, and I actually have a few favorite names:
Carter
James
Ethan
Alyssa
Connie
Neal
To name just a few…

Do you like movies or books? Both?

I honestly love both.

What book did you read for school but enjoyed anyway?

V For Vendetta, we read it last year and it was great!

What do you do when you’re not reading or blogging?

Watching TV or doing homework. Sometimes writing when the afore mentioned homework hasn’t fried my brain.

Would you rather forever buy used books or new books?

Used books, because I am not made of money.

Would you rather be stuck in a book world or in a movie world?

Doesn’t matter, because in either case I’d pick Harry Potter.

What inspired the name of your blog?

The name of my blog was inspired by my love of books and my nickname that my best friend gave me. You can read the full story on my About page.

Does the size of a book matter to you?
