Who’s ready for more mini movie reviews? Seriously, winter break is a great time to watch random movies on Netflix.
I’ve stopped numbering these, because having four thousand links to other mini movie reviews in each post is kind of annoying to do – I’ll start up again if you guys want through.
On the to mini reviews!
And yes, I’m posting this like, 4 months late.
The Outcasts
Summary –
After falling victim to a humiliating prank by the high school Queen Bee, best friends and world-class geeks, Mindy and Jodi, decide to get their revenge by uniting the outcasts of the school against her and her circle of friends.
This is probably the best of the movies on this list. Really entertaining if you like teen movies. Great cast.
Sadie’s Last Days On Earth
Summary –
For most of us, high school can feel like the world is ending. For Sadie Mitchell, it actually is. Sadie has created a check-list of things to master before the predicted doomsday, and she has just two weeks to complete it. Sadie needs to master survivalist cuisine, learn to sew, and a few personal things; go to a high school party, kiss a boy, and most importantly, get her best friend back.
This is a random teen movie I found on Netflix. It was a bit different than I was expecting, but fun. The characters are a bit shallow, a little stupid. But its overall a fun movie to kill time.
A Sort of Homecoming
Summary –
A Sort of Homecoming tells the story of Amy, a New York news producer who thought she left her high school experiences long in the past. She unexpectedly returns to Louisiana at the request of her high school debate coach. Their strained reunion brings back memories of her tumultuous senior year of high school. Through a series of flashbacks, we follow young Amy and her debate partner Nick on the highly competitive national debate circuit as they meet compatriots and competitors from top high schools around the country and the college coaches who control access to valuable scholarships.
A Sort of Homecoming is a random teen movie I found on Netflix. This movie was a bit confusing. The timeline was a little all over the place and the ending, to me at least, was kind of ambiguous. It was an overall entertaining movie though. And I really liked the cast.
