Latinx Book Bingo 2022

The Latinx book bingo will take place from September 15 to October 15, which is when we celebrate Latinx Heritage Month. The goal of the readathon is to highlight books written by Latinx authors.

The aim of the bingo is to read as many Latinx books as you can, guided by the prompts on the bingo board.  You can also try to get a bingo (read all prompts on a single line or row — you can read horizontally, vertically, and diagonally), but it’s not necessary.

So, I haven’t participated in a book bingo or read-a-thon in YEARS but as a Latinx book blogger, this seemed liked a great one to try out!

So, here are the books I want to try and read (no promises on actually finishing before the end of the reading event).

The Inheritance of Orquidea Divina by Zoraida Cordova: Adult magical realism, partly set in Ecuador.

Miss Meteor by Tehlor Kay Mejia and Anna-Marie McLemore:  YA Magical Realism; Co-authored

Don’t Date Rosa Santos by Nina Moreno:  YA Contemporary

Cemetery Boys by Aiden ThomasYA fantasy.

Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson: YA paranormal by an Afro-Latinx author with an Afro-Latinx main character.

The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende: Latin American classic, magical realism.

They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera: YA sci-fi

Ghost Squad by Claribel A. Ortega: Middle-grade fantasy.

Blazewrath Games by Amparo Ortiz: YA Fantasy

Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Córdova: YA Urban Fantasy

The Sunbearer Trails by Aiden Thomas: YA fantasy
